Useful Links

It's important to say that all of these people are pretty much saying the same thing from different approaches and some will resonate more than others but with research to get the right knowledge we can take so much more control of our own health - and that's very empowering. It's also fair to say that all are at the very top of my list of health heroes - I make no apology for calling them that, they have all earned it!

Where you see a highlighted and hyperlinked name, the link will take you to the person's You Tube channel where you'll find everything done by them that's available at the present time. I've also added some links to some I've already watched. Keep checking back because I'll be adding more - I just haven't had time to add all those I've watched yet and I haven't finished watching either :)

Diabetes.co.uk - this is where the first breakthroughs came for me. It's for all diabetics of whatever type and I got support, a lot of information (some opinions!) and the first links that set me off searching for others which led to me finding those below.

dietdoctor.com - for some of the most delicious recipes you'll ever eat and a ton of useful information
There is a video embedded into the site that was brought up to date this year that is well worth a watch but I'd also recommend this slightly longer version made in 2011 with a bit more detail.

Ivor Cummins
Heart Disease Root Causes and the Tests That Could Save Your Life

The Cholesterol Conundrum - and Root Cause Solution - this is quite a long seminar at an hour and 50 minutes but a very worthwhile watch. It makes the information very digestible for the lay person and it's interesting to see it from a engineering scientists perspective. I find we take something different from each one we watch.
Heart Disease Root Causes and the tests that could save your life
KRAFT - Father of the Insulin Assay - an interview with Dr Kraft who is now 95 years old. This is very well worth watching, the doctor has a wealth of experience and knowlege and the information is not just relevant to diagnosed diabetics in fact Dr Kraft tells us that people with non-diabetic people with athersclerosis (where arteries become clogged up) are simply not properly diagnosed yet.

Dr Jason Fung has lots of lectures, seminars and presentations on you tube and is very watchable and knowledgeable too. They are worth a watch by everybody, diabetic or not.
How To Reverse Type 2 Diabetes Naturally
The Two Big Lies Of Type 2 Diabetes
The Aetiology Of Obesity - this is more of a long haul. There are 5 videos (originally there were 6 but the second one is no longer there) but they are well worth a watch and his book The Obesity Code is based on these.

Prof Tim Noakes
Medical Aspects of the low carb lifestyle . A fascinating watch for medical concerns such as heart disease. Prof Noakes makes the information very accessible and pretty compelling.

Dr Robert Lustig The bitter truth is one of the earliest presentations I watched - Dr Lustig is very watchable and makes the information very accessible.
Sugar - the bitter truth
Fat Chance

Dr Aseem Malhotra - one of our leading Cardiologists and very much at the forefront of driving the LCHF message and the true information about cholesterol and statins forward.
Sugar is Public Enemy No1 - the first one I saw by Dr Malhotra and contains some quite startling stats and facts.

Dr Eric Westman - I'm not a big fan of the Atkins Diet, even the latest one (New Atkins, New You) because I'm not happy with the bars and use of sweetners and that kind of thing but Dr Westman is a very knowledgeable man and well worth listening to.
